Last night i stood outside my door
I looked inside and i saw
[A man i didn't know .
He was laughing, laughing at me
The man i didn't know

But i didn't know it was only a dream

A very bad dream

I went to town. What could i do?
Everything was stange . Everything was new.
With the man i didn't know
He was waiting outside the cinema
He was at the corner; he was in my car
the man ididn't know

I telephoned a very good friend
A strange man answered at the other end
A man i didn't know
I saw a mirror on a shelf
I was very surprised i couldn't see myself
Just a man i didn't know

I shouted for help, I looked for the light.

I found myself in bed . It was nearly midnight .
Where was the man i didn't know
I looked in the mirror on the bathroom wall
I was older , and fatter , and very small.
I was the man I didn't know.
